Manufactured in New York, with mahogany tailboard body, and a pair of brass lenses by Gasc & Charconnet (lenses Nos. 19153 and 19154) the lenses supplied by George Bryant & Co., Boston "sole agents, the struts marked "John Stock's Patented May...64, Assigned to Nelson Wright", the rear of the body and the dark slide stamped "John Stock's Patented Aug 1863", both also stamped "2", and the lens clamp stamped "F. M. Gifford". This is possibly Francis M. Gifford a photographer in Forrestville, NY who is listed as a photographer in 1870.
